1879 “Washlady” Half Dollar. A single example in white metal J-1598A is known (ex:Kaufman-RARCOA 8/78, Kagin 7/79, Ivy 2/82, Heritage 7/03, Rau-Heritage 4/18).

Obverse: Charles E. Barber’s Society Lady (popularly called Washlady) design. IN GOD WE TRUST above, seven stars left, six stars right, date 1879 below.

Reverse: Perched eagle holding olive branch (with seven leaves) and three arrows (passing behind the wing). E PLURIBUS UNUM in arc above. Around border, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / HALF DOLLAR.
