Details

1879 “Morgan” Dime. Popularly called the “Morgan dime” by generations of collectors.

Obverse: Morgan’s familiar Liberty Head as used on the contemporary silver dollar, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounding, 1879 below.

Reverse: Larger (than on the preceding) circle of beads enclosing E PLURIBUS UNUM / ONE DIME and an arc of 13 stars. Around the border is a wreath of wheat, corn, cotton, and tobacco, not joined at the top.
