The Large Head/Wide Uneven Date Wass Molitor $10 is the most commonly encountered Wass Molitor with around 150 pieces known today, 62 of which were recovered from the S.S. Central America. Around ten examples are known in mint state, and any original BU specimen would be a member of the condition census.

Obverse: Liberty Head with long neck and W.M. & Co. on diadem, 1852 with 2 over plug, 13 stars around

Reverse: Federal Eagle S.M.V. CALIFORNIA GOLD. TEN D.
