These were redeemable by Nov. 1, 1782 and receivable as specie in payment for purchases of confiscated Tory estates. Denominations inserted by hand. Signers were Joseph Habersham, Lyman Hall*, Jared Irwin, (Semie Ross), and George Walton*. Some signatures on certificates are written by an amanuensis or are forged. This issue is fiscal paper rather than circulating currency.
