The Twopence, Maundy series of Great Britain in the World Coins contains 1 distinct entries.
To accommodate lower transaction values and facilitate local trade within various British colonies, the Royal Mint issued fractional denominations smaller than the standard quarter-penny farthing. These tiny copper issues included the Third-Farthing (minted 1827-1913 primarily for Malta to align with the local grano value), the Half-Farthing (minted 1828-1856 for Ceylon and later made legal tender in Great Britain in 1842), and the minuscule Quarter Farthing (minted 1839 - 1853 for Ceylon). Though struck primarily for colonial utility, they remain highly sought-after by type collectors as an official, albeit unusual, extension of the British pre-decimal sterling series.
