Obverse: On the silver center, the national coat of arms with the eagle facing left, its feathers resembling plates of armor. On the bronze-aluminum outer ring, the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS above, with a half-wreath of oak and laurel below.

Reverse: On the silver center, the innermost design on the Aztec Calendar Stone, with the god Tonatiuh in the middle. On the outer ring, the denomination N$10 at the top and DIEZ NUEVOS PESOS at the bottom, with the date at upper left and the mintmark M at upper right.
