The 1944-D over S is a popular variety with at least two types known, though the most prominent examples show the D much lower than the original S mintmark. The OOM-002 is the less prominent and therefore more affordable example, not to be confused with the OOM-001 variety.
Obverse Description
Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse Description
Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
