1913-S Weak S $5 Gold MS Values

Details

The 1913-S Half Eagle is a very scarce date with most Mint State examples in existence being in the 60 to 63 range. Just a few gems exist continuing the trend of this series with a great lack of high grade uncirculated coins. This issue matches the average rarity of the many better date S-Mint coins in this series.

down This coin is made of 90% gold; 10% copper and has a current melt value of $1,132.85

Obverse: The obverse bears the portrait of a Native American chieftain in formal headdress struck incuse with the words LIBERTY at the top and the date at the bottom. 13 stars frame the left and right sides: 6 at left and 7 on the right.
