As dealers, collectors and investors all know, Morgan and Peace silver dollars are extremely popular American coins because of their history, legends, and silver content.

Obverse Description
18 is recut, cap extends over headband to curl OBV. 1. S1C, S7UH-JCHb, S8UH, S13B. Stars medium in size and close to milling. Date is 8 mm. and rather low. The 1 shows recutting along right edge and the 8 in lower loop and right edge of upper loop. A fine vertical die line joins lips and chin.
Reverse Description
Heavy die break across left wing, Large letters REV. A. A1C, A2LH, A3UH. Wide 50 C. is 2 ½ mm. A-A is ¼ mm. A die break from tail feathers extends up and left along upper olive leaves, but does not touch them, to outer edge of left wing, about halfway up from tip. The lower portion, about 1 mm. of the break, is a fine line while the middle portion, from the fine line to the under side of the wing, is heavier. The portion of the break across the span of the wing is the heaviest. Bold center dot between crossbars 4 and 5. The heavy break at left wing makes this large letter variety easy to identify. A rusted or unfinished die results in a larger portion of the surface being rough. Most noticeable are lumps inside of OF and between stem of lower leaves and the lower berry. (65,65,64,64,64) R.2
