The United States utilized a two-cent coin for just ten years, from 1864 to 1873.
The 1888/7 is a scarce variety in the Indian Cent Series. The error can be seen most clearly at the top left of the last 8. Very scarce and valuable in all grades including circulated pieces which make up most of the known examples. The handful of Mint State pieces are extremely rare.
